My test install looks and works just fine check the graphic on the ART site in Docs & FAQs shows the name and location for all the module positions generated for a Joomla template. and this is more than likely what is the issue you are having, one is NOT done yet with 1.6.x 1.6.x renamed a lot of the default module positions, SO, you have to set your ART template as the default, THEN go to Module Manager and:ġ) set the Main Menu to the User3 position (which will now show up in the position list)Ģ) set the rest of your modules to their respective ART position names (which are now in the list), e.g., left, right, banner 1, 2,3 etc.
So fired up the above-noted 3.x version for Windows, exported the default as a Joomla ZIP, installed successfully, set as "default" and yep, there it was Opened up the above 2.4 version, exported the default as a Joomla ZIP, installed (successfully), set as "default" in Template Manager, displays, but "broken with errors". Used the latest 1.6.3 version running locally on Win 7 with XAMPP. I must admit that I am not up on 1,6,x that well, but I did do a local installation last night after reading your post, just to experiment.
However, I am NOT using the current releases of the Windows versions this is what I am using:Ģ.6 Standard Edition and 3.0 Standard Edition That said, I have also noticed on this forum and the ART forum about the art- prefixes, but I have never had to do that on any of my ART templates/themes for either Joomla!, WordPress or Drupal. btw, I run both 2.4.x and 3.0.x in Windows and 3.x on the Mac. Artisteer 2.x DOES work with Joomla, but the 1.5.x versions I have been using it successfully since it came out! Love it! Would NOT be without Artisteer (ART) in one version or the other.
